You’ll be working with the Strategic Sourcing team.
This team runs on supplier negotiations; spend analysis and coffee (with suppliers of course). The team has an infectious passion for building deep and engaging relationships with our supplier partners and developing capabilities to manufacture innovative products and components.
What you will do
In this role, you will own the strategic sourcing of Metal components, working closely with supplier partners, engineering, product and operations teams to deliver Exponent Enabled Electric Vehicles with 15-minute rapid charging to the market.
Responsibilities
- Drive supplier relationships to deliver supplier partner metrics of cost, quality, delivery & localisation
- Negotiate prices, contracts and on-board suppliers in tandem with new product development
- Drive sourcing projects, and build process capabilities with partners across forging, casting and stamping parts
- Benchmark cost & quality; identify suppliers, process capabilities, or technologies that will drive productivity
- Drive supplier engagements to further innovation & quality across products
The ideal candidate requires
- Relevant experience with strategic sourcing, metal components – 7 to 10 years
- Structured problem-solving, detail orientation, and customer-first attitude
