Power BI Architect

 

Job Description

  • As a Power BI Architect, you will play a critical role in designing, developing, and deploying business intelligence solutions using Power BI.
  • You will collaborate closely with stakeholders to understand their data needs, architect scalable solutions, and ensure the delivery of high-quality analytics and reporting capabilities.

Responsibilities

  • Lead the design and development of Power BI solutions, including data modeling, visualization, and analytics.
  • Collaborate with business stakeholders to gather requirements and translate them into technical specifications.
  • Design and implement data integration processes (ETL/ELT) to connect disparate data sources into Power BI.
  • Develop efficient data models using DAX (Data Analysis Expressions) for optimal performance.
  • Create visually appealing and interactive dashboards and reports that provide actionable insights.
  • Implement governance and security best practices for Power BI solutions.
  • Provide technical leadership and mentorship to Power BI developers and analysts.
  • Stay updated with the latest Power BI features and capabilities and assess their potential impact on current and future projects.
  • Conduct performance tuning and optimization of Power BI reports and queries.
  • Collaborate with IT infrastructure teams to ensure reliable and scalable deployment of Power BI solutions.

Requirements

  • Minimum of 5 years of experience designing and implementing Power BI solutions, including data modeling and visualization.
  • Proven experience in a technical leadership or architect role, overseeing complex BI projects.
  • Strong proficiency in Power BI Desktop, Power Query, DAX, and M Query Language.
  • Solid understanding of data warehousing concepts, ETL/ELT processes, and data integration techniques.
  • Experience with cloud platforms (e.g., Azure, AWS) and their BI services is a plus.
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills with a keen attention to detail.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively interact with stakeholders at all levels of the organization.
  • Relevant certifications such as Microsoft Certified: Data Analyst Associate or Microsoft Certified: Power BI Certified are preferred

Education Qualification

  • Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Information Systems, or a related field (or equivalent work experience)s
