- We are seeking a skilled and experienced Cognos Lead to join our dynamic team.
- The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in designing, developing, and implementing Cognos BI solutions.
- As a Cognos Lead, you will be responsible for leading a team of developers, overseeing projects from conception to delivery, and ensuring that solutions align with business objectives and best practices.
Responsibilities
- Lead a team of Cognos developers, providing guidance, mentorship, and technical expertise.
- Collaborate with stakeholders to gather requirements and translate them into technical specifications.
- Design and develop Cognos BI reports, dashboards, and analytics solutions.
- Perform data modeling and design of relational and dimensional databases to support BI solutions.
- Conduct performance tuning and optimization of Cognos reports and queries.
- Implement best practices for Cognos development, security, and administration.
- Manage Cognos deployments, upgrades, and patches.
- Stay current with industry trends and advancements in Cognos BI technologies.
- Provide technical support and troubleshooting for Cognos applications.
Requirements
- Minimum of 8 years of experience in Cognos development and administration.
- Proven experience in leading a team of Cognos developers.
- Strong proficiency in Cognos BI Suite (Report Studio, Query Studio, Framework Manager, Transformer, etc.).
- Expertise in data modeling, SQL, and database design (Oracle, SQL Server, DB2, etc.).
- Solid understanding of BI best practices, data warehousing concepts, and ETL processes.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to work effectively across different teams and levels of the organization.
- Relevant certifications (e.g., IBM Certified Developer – Cognos, IBM Certified Administrator – Cognos) are a plus.

- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related field (or equivalent work experience
