Job description
- We are seeking a technical lead that can both contribute technically and manage the day-to-day activities of the CloudOps team.
- Lead Cloud Engineer / Cloud Architect o Description
- Gather requirements and architect solutions in Azure. Review architected solutions.
- Leverage experience and knowledge to guide/influence Azure architecture, policy, and processes.
- Shorten decision-making aligning business requirements to available options.
- Work with business owners to deploy Azure infrastructure.
- Develop, automate, and document processes to manage Azure infrastructure.
- Implement policy in Azure. Manage/maintain/monitor Azure infrastructure.
- Lead CloudOps team day-to-day activities.
- Prioritize backlog. Set quarterly, monthly, weekly goals.
- Delegate and manage work through JIRA.
Required Skills
- 5 years project management or alternate experience leading teams.
- 5 years recent on-premises infrastructure experience
- 5 years recent Azure experience
- 2 years CICD/IaC/DevOps experience
- Ability to architect solutions in Azure and deploy through code.
- Ability to automate processes in Azure.
- Ability to create technical documentation.
- Ability to work standard business hours.
- Strong communication skills.
- Ability to work independently – identify what needs to be done, prioritize, coordinate, and execute.
Preferred Skills
- 10 years Cloud experience
- 10 years on-premises infrastructure experience
- 5 years multi-cloud experience
- 2 years Hybrid on-premises/Cloud infrastructure experience
- JIRA Experience,
- Onboarding processes, Big Data, ML/AI, Containers/K8, Implement new solutions in Azure
- Refactor existing solutions for Azure
- Design and implementing Azure Azure Experience, Cost-management, Disaster Recovery, Security Policies Landing Zone
